Melanie Castillo-Cullather

Melanie Castillo-Cullather is founding director of IU’s Asian Culture Center (ACC). Originally from the Philippines, she has an M.A. in Philanthropic Studies from IU School of Philanthropy. As director of the ACC, Melanie works collaboratively with units on campus and organizations in the community to help promote an understanding of Asian cultures, history, and the contemporary issues and concerns facing the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.  Through Elementary Tagalog 1, Melanie hopes to contribute to students’ learning and appreciation of the Filipino language and culture.
