IU ASEAN Gateway

The IU ASEAN Gateway (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) helps IU faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners advance their academic and professional interests in the ASEAN region by providing a high quality, IU-branded space for hosting workshops, mini-conferences, receptions, and meetings; or to use as a base for study abroad programs or personal research.

In-country staff are available to share advice, connections, and provide logistical support. The campus-based Academic Director provides expert knowledge and contacts to help develop and support research, curricular programs, and other initiatives. The IU ASEAN Gateway is located in central Bangkok, Thailand.

IU's Gateway in Bangkok

Opening in February 2019, the IU ASEAN Gateway is located in an office suite in central Bangkok and serves as a hub to support IU in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations region.

The IU's Gateway in Bangkok reaffirms long-standing partnerships with leading educational institutions, allowing the university to explore areas of mutual interest relating to ASEAN business, education, government and culture and expanding IU's international engagement in this important region of the world.
