Khaing Zin Thant was born in Yangon, the former capital city of Myanmar. Khaing finished Master’s Degree in English language and literature from Yadanabon University, Amarapura in 2016. Her graduate thesis focused on the relationship between the diversity of the words and the aesthetic effect of poems. She has started teaching English as a foreign language in a private school since 2016 and volunteered teaching in a monastery in 2018. Khaing is Fulbright FLTA scholarship grantee 2019-2020 and teaching elementary Burmese language class at Indiana University Bloomington. Nothing is more interesting to her than studying syllabus-design and assessment. Moreover, Khaing enjoy travelling, reading books, meeting new people, cooking, and walking with dogs in her free time. Going to Farmers’ Market on Saturdays and visiting the festival of arts and crafts are her favorite things to do in Bloomington.
