His upcoming graduate thesis with East Asian Languages and Cultures [EALC] will focus extensively on Southeast Asian nations and their geopolitical positioning towards China and Japan. He also has a personal interest in and appreciation for Southeast Asia, having taught at a Malaysian university before coming to Indiana University.
